LMM Contract Assitant

A little ol' hack-a-thon project, bringing an engeneering concept to life. Simplifying and removing human error from contract configuration.

A brand new tool, straight from the mind of our product team, a new place to view client info and configure discounts for each client in the database.

Bill Management

Another new tool, just for our billers. To see all bills that are ready to be submitted. No more need to run incessant queries, thumbing through multiple spreadsheets, or submitting troubleshooting tickets.

Hello there, I'm

James

Butler. A product designer currently Oakland, CA.

Recently, I've been creating new tooling at Hinge Health for the billing team helpping them organize contracts and analyze financial data. Over the past year, I've spearheaded the design of several new tools, such as the LLM Contract Assistant and a new Discounting Tool. I'm particularly proud of the new Bill Troubleshooting Tool, which was a game-changer for the team.

Before joining Hinge Health, I spent over three years at Alto Pharmacy, where I made contributions across multiple teams, including Billing, Patient Success, and Innovation teams. During my time there, I played a key role in fostering the growth of the design team while enhancing the patient experience. I spearheaded design projects like the Patient First Experience, empowering patients to communicate and ensure their prescriptions were fulfilled, and expanding user access to Alto's Over the Counter Meds, allowing users without written prescriptions to finally use Alto's services.

I also helped build the product design team at Faire and gained valuable experience as part of a small, dynamic team at CreativeLive.

As a designer, I love finding new discoveries from research, the collaboration of minds in critique and workshops, and finding that oh-so-perfect aesthetic through design systems. I'm always excited to dive into something new and bring fresh ideas to my work. I'm currently interested in how automation and artificial intelligence will change human interaction and bring about new user-centered design thinking. I thrive in fast-paced, dedicated teams that prioritize craftsmanship.

Outside of work, you'll often find me relaxing in my home garden, bopping around town with my partner and our two pups, or experimenting with new recipes. On weekends, I enjoy crafting new woodworking projects in my home workshop.

Can't wait to meet all you fine folks
